The SELA herbal products crew gathered at a well organised set-up on the west wing of Maponya Mall on Friday 30 August for their new 16 products launch, which fell on the African Traditional medicine week. The stunning decor resembled that of a mini restaurant with guests seated at tables being served cocktail drinks while enjoying the presentation by SELA representatives. Master of ceremonies for the day Lunathi Mampofu mentioned that her passion was to inform people on healthy living, getting people both young and old to embrace natural products and good food. Lunathi further mentioned that as a television actor she takes the SELA capsules for vitality and stress relief on top of the clear skin range. She revised the saying with the audience that, “Health is wealth!”

The presentation team would inform the various business representatives including members of the media, and further open the campaign launch to shoppers passing by who also got the feel of the new exciting products and actively engaging consumers about SELA, and further entertaining them with quizzes and goodies. Those purchasing SELA for better health products on the day were well positioned to receiving gift packs.

The SELA African traditional herbs, a proudly South African product medicine providing healing to various ailments is packaged in capsules and is accessible at selected retailers, wholesalers and pharmacies across the country. Brand manager Olwethu Pudumo explained that SELA means ‘drink’ and she further mentioned that they are not only targeting the older groups of consumers, but that their new range will appeal to younger consumers who are edgy, knowledgeable, the working class that is hip and sophisticated.

The brand has been existing for the past 9 years and has been famous for the SELA tea range. The really went to town product design and packaging that is stunning, attractive and well presented. “Our household brand gives the consumers the superpower to live better. To be the doctor inside the cupboard”. Mentioned Olwethu. They produce their products locally sourcing natural herbs throughout Africa that help with chronic diseases and ailments. SELA iyasebenza! It works!
