Located in Featherbrooke Estate, Krugersdorp, the initiative by Shane-Ann Rykaart on a mission to empower households with essential cooking knowledge. With a deep-rooted passion for flavours and culinary arts, Shane-Ann embarked on her cooking journey at a young age. In 2020, she launched her cooking classes, targeting domestic workers, to spread the joy of creating delectable dishes.
Drawing inspiration from her international travels, Shane-Ann established Shane-Ann’s Kitchen, offering theme based cooking classes, seasonal menus, and specialized training for domestic staff in private residences, lodges and boutique establishments. She believes that food has the power to unite families and friends, transforming houses into warm and inviting homes.
Emphasizing the importance of mastering fundamental cooking techniques, Shane-Ann highlights the art of knife skills, sauce-making, frying, grilling and baking. She advocates for equipping kitchens with essential tools like quality knives, pots, pans, mixing bowls, measuring cups and her favourite stick blender to facilitate seamless recipe execution.
To ensure engaging and interactive learning experiences, Shane-Ann adopts a friendly and hands-on teaching approach. Her upcoming classes on the 7th, 14th May 2024 will focus on preparing hearty meals and desserts perfect for cold winter days.
