eBucks leverages existing partnerships to make access to healthcare easy for all South Africans

FNB eBucks and Clicks are thrilled to announce an extension of their existing partnership by now offering FNB Easy customers (both Easy PAYU and Easy Bundle account holders) access to healthcare through Clicks Clinics. FNB Easy PAYU customers could qualify for vouchers valued at R80 per voucher, while FNB Easy Bundle customers’ vouchers will be worth R120, that can be used to supplement the cost of a wide variety of services including immunisation, baby consultation, minor ailment consultation, screening tests and family planning.

By depositing their salaries into their respective FNB bank accounts and simply swiping their debit cards regularly – clients must swipe at least R250 per month anywhere and once a quarter at Clicks – from the 1st of April 2025. FNB Easy customers will start to qualify for their quarterly Clicks Clinic vouchers which can be redeemed from the 1st of July 2025 at any of the over 220 Clicks Clinics nationwide. These vouchers will be valid for six months from the date of allocation to customers and can be located in the voucher wallets on the FNB banking App or Cellphone banking. In addition, customers can also reach out to our advisors via our service suites and in branch for guidance and to be assisted with their questions.

Lytania Johnson, CEO of FNB Personal Segment, says, “Access to affordable healthcare remains an ongoing challenge for many South Africans and, as a trusted financial services provider to our customers, this solution aligns with our overarching ambitions and commitment to offer true help to our customers by meeting them at their point of need. As a way of facilitating easy, affordable and accessible public healthcare in South Africa, FNB took the opportunity to have robust conversations with our existing eBucks partner Clicks Group to see how both brands could join forces to democratise access to basic healthcare for underserved groups in both rural and urban areas. Given the prevailing economic conditions, the bank understands the challenges faced by its Personal Segment customers and that’s why we aim to strategically and consistently offer help that changes everything on a daily basis.”

“With over 220 nationwide Clicks Clinics offering holistic primary healthcare services to South African families, we recognise the importance of working with like-minded brands to building a healthier life and future for South African citizens. This extended partnership with FNB’s eBucks rewards programme is closely aligned to Clicks’ long-term vision to offer value for money and lead in convenient health offerings at the doorstep of customers. Our Clicks nursing practitioners are passionate about providing valuable advice and assistance to customers regardless of their primary healthcare needs,” adds Dr Melanie van Rooy, Chief Marketing Officer at Clicks Group.

Clicks is the country’s leading health, beauty and wellness retailer and the largest retail pharmacy chain. FNB eBucks Rewards programme first announced its partnership with the 57-year-old brand, Clicks, in April 2020. “We believe our customer-focused offerings can make a positive difference in our customers’ lives, whether the changes are big or small, especially during tough economic times,” says Pieter Woodhatch, CEO of eBucks.

“With a long-standing likeminded partner like Clicks and as a financial services provider that understands the role we play in society; we are committed to tailoring our rewards programme to meet the diverse needs of all our customers. This allows us to be more intentional in helping South Africans stretch their monthly budgets for necessities, while leaning on these kinds of vouchers to ease their access to healthcare options,” highlights Woodhatch.

“FNB’s expanded lifestyle partner ecosystem makes it easier and more convenient for customers to stretch their wallets while addressing both their financial and lifestyle needs. This is evident of the shared passion we have for making a lasting impact on South African households, and with the exclusive Clicks Clinic vouchers we hope to better our customer’s primary healthcare needs in a meaningful way,” concludes Johnson.
