Winny Foundation donate sports kits and accessories

The dawn of the Saturday 9th November 2024 brought about joy for sports enthusiasts at the Doornkop tennis court, Emndeni Link Road. This, as the Winny Radebe Foundation NPO spectacularly donated 15 Netball balls, 7 bibs, 1 Soccer ball and soccer jerseys to Black Diamond Sports club.

.Led by CEO Winny Gadebe, the NPO then further donated soccer kits and 5 balls to Thubelisha Young Stars FC. Radebe mentioned that “as the Foundation NPO, our purpose is to foster efforts in the communities to keep our children out of the street, to drive them away from mischief and minimize the high number of teenage pregnancies. We reaching out to the youth in such sporting events such as these albeit envisioning that young boys and girls enjoy displaying their raw talents.
The administrators of Thubelisha Young Stars Meshack Makhubela and Sakhile Nkosi expressed their utmost gratitude towards the Winny Radebe Foundation NPO. “We are short of words to the foundation with kit and 5 balls they gave us.

We really appreciate your support and contributions to our team, mentioned the ecstatic Sakhile. Chairman of Black Diamond Sports Mr Tebogo Mahlahlane reeled over the Foundation’s generous donation. “A special soccer jersey was created in memory of our late player, Palesa “Messi” Hope Mashego who played for Black Diamond women’s soccer team who passed just recently.” Mentioned Mahlahlane. Regina”Jobe” Sithole, Captain of the Black Diamond ladies team received the commemorate jersey. A moment of silence was observed prior to the ladies six-a-side games commenced on the field.

“It is said that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Children need a platform to nurture their talents in a supportive environment for growth and development. Thubelisha Young Stars and many other teams strive to provide that.” Reiterated Tebogo “At Black Diamond Sports, we believe that every young person has the potential for greatness. When we receive attention from Winny Radebe Foundation, our hearts are filled with warmth, gratitude and fulfilment. We thank the Netball teams, including Dynamite Netball Team and Phoenix Netball Team for joining us despite the unfavourable weather, as well as Thubelisha Young Stars soccer team. Together we can build our community and empower our youth”. Stated Vuyelwa Mahlahlane, chairlady of Black Diamond Sports.
Captain Regina who showcased her skilful play further enthused. “I feel happy and my heart is healing from Palesa’s passing as she loved football, an acknowledgment that brought joy to many of us. It’s wonderful to see all the young people united, displaying their talents.

I hope to see all players improving their skills and resisting negative peer pressure, as Palesa was never easily influenced with suspicions. She encouraged us to persist and always do our best. We will continue to love, celebrate and honor her memory.” Black Diamond Sports extends its gratitude to the Foundation, all participating teams as well as the parents, coaches and players for making this event successful!
