3rd Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show gains ground
Share on FacebookShare on X

The 3rd Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show entries opened on the 1 February 2024 where various artists were given the opportunity to be part of the show. According to event organiser, Tsholofelo Applegreen the show offers a platform to artistic people to showcase their raw talent to the world. To be part of the 3rd Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show for 2024 performers and enthusiasts can apply through the information displayed on Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show social media platforms.

There are five performing art categories which are Dance, Drama, Fashion Modelling, Music and Poetry. “With the above mentioned categories we aimed at empowering and educating the community while fighting against social issues faced by young people. The reception from participants, guests and community in the previous event was very positive and made us to keep projecting the show annually. We had so many artistic people who showcased their raw talent on stage and it was a fantastic sight to behold.” Related Applegreen.

The 3rd Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show will host between 30 and 50 participants from different locations, who will participate under the listed categories, mainly Dance, Drama, Fashion Modelling, Music and Poetry. Among the featured clothing brands, there will once again be a showcasing by Rock Apple Fashion, Sibadala Discipline, Black Panther and many more as some of the favourites who will display exclusive designs on the runway.

This year the show will be bigger and better than previous years with the help of our sponsors and partners such as Hloni Bakes, UNDERNEWMANAGEMENT, OAK LOUNGE, Put A Smile, Afrozicas and the Casting Modelling Agency. 3rd Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show is expected to return to home soil on the 8th June 2024 at Doornkop Community Hall (Snakepark) Block 4, after recording major successes of its first and second instalments respectively over the years, 2022 and 2023.

“During the year 2024 tickets sales will take a new format and be easily accessed unlike previous years where people struggled to purchase them at any given time. They will be sold via Web Tickets meaning anyone who want to buy a ticket can purchase it at any Pick‘nPay store near them or online at webtickets.com. Our current challenge is getting a person or an organisation that may sponsor fundraising tickets to give away to disadvantaged children that are eager and aspire to attend our show. Pleaded Tsholofelo. Each ticket cost R80 and we have 300 fundraising tickets. There will be different casting agencies and casting directors who will scout talent amongst our participating artists that will position them to opportunities that place them on a pedestal for future prospects and stardom in the art industry.

Applegreen also added that, “in the previous event there was a successful donation drive of school shoe pairs shoes drive by a named ‘Put A Smile’ organization. Our participants achieved opportunities to be signed under the agency, Afrozicas Casting and Modelling Agency, of whom are currently working as background actors on SABC1’s flagship programme and most-popular soaps, Generations: The Legacy which shows the aspirations of African people as they take charge of their destiny. With the achievements we had on the previous Annual Mzansi Expose Talent Show, we hope that we annually will open sustainable opportunities to our participants, grow bigger and better while impacting their careers prospects and positive education interventions in the industry.”

“Our participants and supporters should keep it in mind that we will always consider the best for them as we did last year, whereby we had Gwijo Avenue as guest performance and some of the role models who are in the media industry as well as guests appearances by the likes of Jabulani Khanye KaMdlalose known as Zobo from Generation The Legacy, Nash Pilingane known as Eve from DiepCity, just to mention few. We promise to bring you guest performance and guests appearance who will encourage and motivate our participants and supporters.” Concluded Applegreen.

Tsholofelo Applegreen urges anyone who would like to participate or support in the work they do to reach the organization via email mzansiexposetalent@gmail.com or contact them on 073 157 0014 / 084 386 2846 or via Facebook on their page Mzansi Expose Talent – “MET”.
