The Gauteng Provincial Government will on Wednesday, 15 May 2024 welcome the
first group of the Nasi iSpani’s iCrush no Lova Jobs and Skills Programme applicants
who have been successfully placed in various fields for jobs and training opportunities.
These applicants, along with thousands of other unemployed hopefuls, applied for the
iCrush no Lova opportunities during the massive application weekend of the 13 and 14
April 2024 across Gauteng.
This is the first group of beneficiaries that has been successfully matched for jobs and
training in agriculture, customer service, construction, engineering, retail, furniture
manufacturing, and entrepreneurial skills, amongst others.
Those in training will be equipped with skill sets that will enable them to get employment
or successfully run their own businesses.
The iCrush no Lova Jobs and Skills Programme is a joint mass skills training programme
between the provincial government, the Department of Employment and Labour and
the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF).
The programme seeks to combat unemployment by bridging the gap between the skills
supply and the demands of the country’s evolving job market.
Premier Panyaza Lesufi will welcome the first group of applicants, only those who have
been notified are required to attend.
