Soweto Tourism, FNB and KAMERS/Makers launch a two-day retail showcase of Soweto’s makers, brands and food producers on 26–27 September.
One hundred of Soweto’s small businesses and creative entrepreneurs will sell, show and tell their stories at the first Soweto Small Business Showcase, at Maponya Mall on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026.
Presented by Soweto Tourism and supported by FNB and KAMERS/Makers, the Showcase builds on three years of Soweto Tourism events, relaunched under a new name with a bigger footprint and a fuller programme.
Visitors will find local fashion, homeware, craft and design brands alongside food and drink producers, with DJ Refiloe Motsei playing on the Saturday. For the businesses taking part, the two days offer direct access to new customers, marketing exposure and a place in a collective showcase of Soweto’s creative economy.

Bringing these businesses together in one place gives entrepreneurs the visibility they need to grow, and that contributes to the greater good of the whole area,” says Thato Mothopeng, Chairperson of Soweto Tourism.

KAMERS/Makers, South Africa’s largest commercial platform for the local economy, brings its event infrastructure and marketing experience to the Showcase.

The Showcase is open from 09:00 to 20:00 on Saturday 26 September and from 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday 27 September. Tickets are R50 online via KAMERS/Makers or R65 at the gate.
