Held on Saturday the 29 November 2025 the Ebenezer Child Development Program celebration spectacle was a resounding success as parents, youth and stakeholders descended towards the venue in Braamfischer phase 1. To the audience delight, the little angles took to stage to say a prayer closing their eyes they revised the Lords’ Prayer with earnest confidence coupled with Psalm 23 and with prayers of protection and warmest praise consolidating the crèches theme of a Christian based day care. And the highlight was the stories of the Bible with happy songs of the festive season, ‘Jingle bell all the way’!

Taking the podium and welcoming the guests Principal Boemo Bogatsu highlighted the importance of celebrating the milestone occasion in their precious kids’ life’s timeline. She thanked the parents and parents for their supports throughout the year especially to those who’s children were finally graduating.

“The African theme was in tune with the G20 event which took place during our planning stages of our graduation event together with the parents. The time is now for the consciousness that we ourselves rise and take hold of our country’s wealth. My Bible says that wherever you place your feet, you can claim that space! Please continue with the training on your children as they leave the Day care and face senior learning institutions as we have done our job with laying the necessary foundation. With the grannies seated in the front row, the ECD classes, Sunflowers, Stargazers all displayed rich performances of recitations, speeches, well-rehearsed dance choreography with a well-coordinated relay and sequence of performances to the delight of the audience with the rigorous clapping of hands and ululations.

Certainly, the teachers, clad in the Africa theme T-shirts did a splendid work looking at the grace and dedication of the children pulling of each task, and the glowing faces of the parents and guardians looking at their children performing on stage.

As the theme emphasized Africanness, it was soothing to see the kids carrying and lifting up each African’s country’s flag and punching forth each nationality name, languages and pride backed by the drum beats and song in the background, “Oh Africa! Let us fight for Ubuntu and be united, together we can!”Principal Boemo proudly picked Onthatile Molubi a grade 8 student and former learner at the ECD who is now a Ballet dancer who recently went to Italy and mentioned Ebenezer her beloved ECD centre she attended as a child.

Onthatile Molubi graced the stage with her flawless, sublime Ballet dance moves. A special occasion indeed to see a local flying with the almost weightless wings of such highly balanced and free flowing grand artistry! “She has been instrumental in supporting the school through and through, mentioned the Principal. “At one stage her granny donated the computers that the institution still uses to date. Therefore, we are highly grateful of such key people who play a crucial role in community development!” So, we recommend that parents allow their children to participate in any number of activities, honing their skills and so elevate their talents that they accomplish so they shine forth!”Mpho Kambule from Braamfischerville Phase related that, “I have travelled a journey with the center having my two kids and also 2 of my brothers, who are now at grade 5 attending school.

So, this year we have the last pair, being the 2nd graduating and going to start their grade 1 in the new year. I appreciate Ebenezer ECD for placing God above everything else in the running of the classes. The first thing for the child to attain wisdom, is to learn about the living God! I have a ten years old child at home who started reading at Ebenezer CDP, and to this day my boy loves reading! During the previous year I can attest that he read 13 books at school. Now the love for reading has been ingrained at home that even her sister fights with her brother over books!” She appreciated the teachers particularly for their love, passion and crucial roles they play towards the little learner’s development.

Parent Bakang Kgosiemang from Dobsonville Ext. 2 mentioned that, “all I can say is that I’m happy as we witness the progress of our children’s learning, please may the school keep doing the good work, we will keep bringing in the young ones!” The Principal was highly impressed and in the midst so much ovation, she placed emphasis that they are a praying school, “therefore may more posterity be welcomed into this world. The parents graduated here and end up seeing their grandchildren also graduating!” Tebogo Jonas a parent from ‘Los my Cherrie,’ Dobsonville, also related that he’s also a product of the ECD center. “It is a generational traditional practice that our kids in my family have to attend early learning and development here. The other day I showed my young daughter a photo of my young self with the principal and she said “Ao papa you also attended?” I relied yes I’m also part of the school. Henceforth, I’m grateful and thank you for doing a great job for our kids.”

In conclusion Ma’am Bogatsu mentioned that the 2025 journey has not been easy working with children on the school’s yearly program. Members of the clergy, senior community members and leaders ushered prayers of dedication towards graduating learners together with their parents on stage, with the undertones of my favourite song by Nathaniel Bassey, ‘See what the Lord has done.’ The Ebenezer CDP story of love discipline and warmth reminds us once again how it once felt to be an innocent little child.
