Ntsiki Mongi Motor Spares and workshop is your convenient spares shop and service centre located at busy intersection of Mphepheto Street and Main Road in Dobsonville Soweto. One can easily notice a variety of vehicles repaired and serviced on the corner where taxis take a turn to ferry passengers. The motor spares shop was established in 1989 after the owner Elias Makhura completed his motor engineering studies.
Makhura mentioned that he started the business because of his passion for cars and noticing at the time that there were not so many people fixing cars so he saw this as an opportunity for business and to develop the community.
They service clients in Soweto locations and surrounding areas. They are all round mechanic experts with satisfaction guaranteed. Makhura mentions they bought workshop equipment because they do not have a sponsor and do not receive any funding from the government. The business has three employees that helps Elias get the job done with the cars.
The business hours are from 8 o’clock in the morning till 7pm in the evening, open Monday to Sunday including public holidays. “The busy days of the business are weekends, because most of my clients are taxi drivers so they only get the chance to be off during weekends” added Makhura.
Recovering from the pandemic blues, the business is tremendously picking up operations. Management hopes to grow the popular Soweto business franchise to greater heights.
