Well-to-do businessman, Frik van Heerden, making waves in modelling

Nothing is out of reach for the diversely talented Frik van Heerden. A highly successful businessman on the one hand, Frik also enjoys being in front of the camera and on runways as a flourishing male model.

By merging various sectors in business to create a multi-faceted organisation, offering a one stop solution, Frik is recognized internationally for his significant contributions to transforming and diversifying the entrepreneurial landscape. As the CEO of the elite Financial Services Organization RFG Capital, the well-to-do businessman has come a long way since his humble beginnings as a small town Afrikaans farm boy from Kuruman.

He says, “Growing up in a small town was one of the biggest gifts my parents could have given me. The ability to grow up with a close knit community is something that I believe every person must experience sometime during their life.”

Now based in Pretoria, making waves in both the business and the modelling world, Frik still enjoys visiting the farm.

He elaborates, “I return as much as possible. I must say even though Pretoria is my house, the farm is my home. Spending time on the farm is like experiencing freedom on a whole different level. It provides me with a powerful balance between the city life, business and the humbling nature of my upbringing. I believe that balance between your personal and professional life is key to success.”

This success is evident in his wide array of accomplishments.

In 2023, the then aspiring model, was crowned the runner-up of Mr. South Africa. He went on to make his first fashion debut on the fashion runway this year, modelling for top fashion Designer, Lanrey Akins at The Venue in Melrose Arch.

In 2024, he signed to a professional modelling agency and has achieved further accolades as a fitness and fashion model and recently became the Runway Finalist in Opulent Models 2024. He continues to serve as an official representative for the brand.

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Frik has an immense passion for his modelling ventures. This includes his recent pursuit across borders, launching a career in Europe and being an ambassador for significant brands such as US Polo Association, Gary Rom Man and more.

Frik will continue to share his experience and skills with the rest of the world and he is excited for the opportunity to meet and network with European Agencies in Paris next year.

When asked what excites him the most about the future, Frik’s face lights up. He explains, “I look forward to travelling to Paris next year to meet and network with leading fashion agents. I enjoy travelling and the chance to expand my fashion network is an exhilarating prospect for me.”

Frik who previously studied law at NWU Pukke, is now expanding his education by studying part-time in the field of technical financial accounting, which will further enhance his expertise and versatility in the business world.

Frik’s modernized twist in merging business, modelling and fitness inspired him to launch his very own subscription based platform on Circular called The Frik Factor by Frik van Heerden. Here he covers a wide variety of motivating topics, specifically life, fitness and business, paying it forward for those who want to follow in his footsteps.
