Lambano Academy, a school next to Westgate mall in Roodepoort displayed yet another memorable academic school year end
function. Hosted by Principal Noluthando Nyandeni and team of educators, the programme filled the audience with startling
entertainment symbolized by sizzling choreography and angelic singing by learners thanks to the creative coaching by their educators.


But mainly the well attended event focussed on academic excellence as the many top performing learners were awarded with
certificates of merit. The many learners in the school overcame one of the hardest years faced by our country, apart from economic
challenges that their parents went through, it was also the disturbing constant power outages that interfered with their studies.


The family values and personal mannerisms of general diligence and etiquette among learners were emphasised by principal Nyandeni
that they should be constantly instilled and upheld, and some obtained awards for such sterling behaviour. The many boys and girls
who came to the fore to obtain their certificates were overcome by emotions, accompanied by their parents and guardians taking
memorable photos together with them.


Worth noting was Ma’am Nyandeni’s mentioning that some of the parents were her students that she taught at some point. The
jumping castle in the school yard overjoyed the little people as they bounced
