Pelican Light Foundation was established in 2021 with a mission to support unfortunate families and uplift communities. The foundation’s heart goes out to the elderly, who have carried the weight of their communities and the country, yet often face hardship within their own families.
According to Daniel Boshomane, the founder of Pelican Light Foundation, “Our team consists of selfless and humble individuals who are eager to lend a helping hand. As we continue to assist those in need, we meet individuals facing various challenges, and we strive to make a positive impact in their lives. Our foundation is situated at 6825 Rustenburg Street, Zone 4, Diepkloof, Soweto, 1864.”
The foundation has various departments, including one focused on supporting individuals struggling with narcotics and drug addiction. We’ve witnessed remarkable transformations, with some of our beneficiaries now employed, owning car washes, or running small businesses.
Our message to the community is one of compassion and empathy. We urge everyone to share their resources and offer help to those facing difficult situations. It’s essential that we care for our elderly parents and grandparents, who are vital to our lives. Often, these individuals are neglected due to their age.
As we move forward, Pelican Light Foundation remains committed to addressing the pressing needs of our community. We recognize that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and healthcare. Our goal is to create a supportive ecosystem that empowers vulnerable families to break free from the cycles of poverty and despair.
Through our holistic approach, we aim to provide a comprehensive range of services, including counseling, education, and job training. By fostering partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies, we hope to amplify our impact and create lasting change in the lives of those we serve.
In addition to our core services, Pelican Light Foundation also provides essential support to the elderly in our community. We donate groceries, including vegetables and bread, on a daily basis, ensuring that our seniors have access to nutritious food. Furthermore, we provide refreshments to elders on their grant collection days, offering them comfort and relief as they wait in long queues.
As we embark on this journey, we invite you to join us in our mission to uplift vulnerable families and create a brighter future for our community. Together, we can make a difference and inspire a wave of compassion, kindness, and generosity that will resonate throughout our society.
